"I am grateful to the Community of Kaimosi for being wise enough to retain The Kaimosi Teachers College even after accommodating the University."
Chairman BOM
Kaimosi occupies a special place in the History of Culture, Religion, Education,Medicine, Science and technological development in this part of Kenya. It is a
melting point of all spheres of life. I feel proud to be associated with the Quakers Church whose missionary work saw the ushering in of all these institutions in the Kaimosi complex that have established strong forms of relevant human life for sustainable socio-economic development.
Kaimosi Teachers College has churned out manpower for the Education Sector in this republic since the early nineteen hundred.
The pillar of Hill of Vision has guided its positive image founded on discipline. I commend all those who have contributed positively towards this excellent course.
I take cognizance of the right direction of converting the age old Kaimosi Teachers College into Kaimosi Friends University College a constituent college of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. Indeed we are proud to host
the first ever University in Vihiga County.
The establishment of a University in the Kaimosi Complex was long overdue and we appreciate that we can now boast of all levels of formal learning within the
complex from Early Grade to University.
I am grateful to the Community of
Kaimosi for being wise enough to retain the Kaimosi Teachers College even after
accommodating the University.
I sincerely
thank the Quakers Church for providing land for the construction of the New Model Kaimosi Teachers College. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology came in strongly and co-funded along with the BOM the Construction of the storey Tuition block consisting of 12 expansive classrooms. This has enabled us to
relocate the first year students to start
utilizing the facility. Indeed if you visit the new site you attest to prudent utilization
public funds and value for money. In that
regard I commend the chief Principal for spearheading that process and seriousness of purpose.
I greatly appreciate Hon .Dr. Charles
Gimose MP, Hamisi Constituency for funding through the CDF, the construction
of a twin hostel to completion. The Twin Hostel has a capacity of 80 bed space
meant to accommodate 160 male
students.
Hon Rev. Moses Akaranga, the County
Governor of Vihiga undertook to construct two hostels and a tuition block of five
classes on the new site. These projects
stand incomplete which is impacting adversely on the peaceful co-existence of
Kaimosi TTC and Kafuco. There is dire need
for space for both institutions to run their programs smoothly. It is my prayer that these projects are revived and completed to enable the students to relocate to the new site.
To the students and staff of Kaimosi Teachers College, I salute you for the continued excellent performance in both
curricular and co-curricular. Your efforts
and commitment to purpose has kept the name of the college in positive News.
It is important that you maintain the trend
to power up your capacity to compete favorably in the flooded job market.
Always strive to stand tall as you render
this unique service to humanity.
Long live Kaimosi TTC! Long live Kenya.
